The AI Tool Realtors Need Now
This is the top question i'm ever asked...
Whenever I teach a class on AI in Real Estate or even just have a convo about it, the inevitable question is… but which tool should I start with?!
This is kind of easy to answer, and kind of impossible to answer. A bit like when someone says “how’s the market?”, we know that it’s not just a simple, canned answer. But here’s the closest to a simple answer I can get for you…
Start with ChatGPT (https://chat.openai.com).
There are plenty of other versions out there, all with pros and cons, and tons of other tools that use AI in different ways. But when someone just wants a plain, simple answer of where to start? This is my suggestion.
But here’s the twist. I used to say start with the free version (currently ChatGPT-3.5), which is still not terrible advice. But a couple of weeks ago, ChatGPT-4 had such a great update that I honestly think that is probably the place to start. It does come with a $20/mo price tag, but I easily get my $20 of value from it every month.
Note: OpenAI doesn’t have an affiliate refferal program, so I have literally zero incentive in guiding you that direction, other than just good, old fashioned advice 😄
Do you need to start with the paid version? Heck no. Just start with the free version and tinker around. But if you know you’re going to start using AI tools in your business (and, hint: you need to), you might as well just dive right into the paid version.
Previous to this big update, even ChatGPT-4 was “segmented”. I could do advanced market analysis by uploading spreadsheets, but it wasn’t connected to the internet so had no reference to current events. I could have it scan uploaded pages for highlighted text, but couldn’t have it export into excel documents. Each of those features were in separate “containers”.
But, with the newest release, it’s all-in-one! It seriously has been a game-changing tool to have, especially when used through the mobile app.
So all this is to say: if you want to know where to start, start with Chat GPT (https://chat.openai.com) and if you’re feeling brave, sign up (or get on the waitlist if there is one) for GPT Plus so you can get access to the fun tools!
Sorry this wasn’t the most exciting newsletter ever, but i’ve gotten the question so many times, I figured someone here might need the answer, too!
If you made it this far into the email… respond back with your favorite movie from the 90’s 😏
